Goodwill message for Nigerians @63 Independence Day By: Reved IYERE SEBASTIAN OYEKPEN The annual independence celebration is always a time for retrospection of how far we have come and how well we have done. Indeed we have come a long way considering that 63 years in the lifespan of a nation should be long enough to witness impact, progress, and unprecedented development. Nigeria may have been lucky to gain independence in 1960 but may not have been too lucky with visionary leaders. This conclusion is predicated upon the current state of the nation after 63 years of independence where all pivotal sectors are in a state of comatose. I urge the federal government to do the needful by fulfilling the dreams of our heroes and focusing more on those things that unite rather than those that divide us. Happy Independence Day!
